Dr. Akella is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine and Addiction Medicine. He has been practicing since 1998 and joined Orlando Internal Medicine in 2001.
Dr. Akella trained in internal medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He is an elected Fellow of the American College of Physicians and is also a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Akella sees patients in our outpatient clinic and is also involved in local hospitals, including acute care, long-term acute care, skilled nursing and behavioral facilities.
